UAA Announces New Board Members
UAA is pleased to report that we have new BOD members for 2021-2022. Officers and new board members announced at the Annual Meeting are: Geoff Kempter, President; Paul Hurysz, Past President; Tim Walsh, President – Elect; and Brandon Hughson, Vice President. 2021 Annual Meeting Recap
The UAA membership in attendance for our virtual annual meeting on August 31 voted on new bylaws. More than a dozen sections were discussed and changes made were ratified. This included the clarification of roles and responsibilities for Board members and UAA Officers, the guidelines on nominations and term limits, and updates on IRS codes and the physical address of the UAA office. Pennsylvania Safety Summit happening this month
The UAA Safety Summit at Graver Arboretum in Bath, Pennsylvania, is scheduled for Sept 29-30, 2021. These events are crucial to our industry and are well worth attending. Volunteer for Saluting Branches in September
UAA is proud to support an initiative of Arborists United for Veteran Remembrance. In supporting Saluting Branches, we help provide opportunities for tree care professionals to keep veterans’ cemeteries safe and beautiful places for those who visit.
