Innovative hands-on learning opportunity and competition coming to Trees & Utilities 2022
Here’s another great reason to join us for Trees & Utilities, September 20 – 22 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
For the first time, T&U will offer a team-based learning experience known as The Skills Arena to encourage industry safe work practices and a chance to learn from UVM professionals on site. The one-hour educational and demo sessions offered by North American Training Solutions (NATS) will conclude with a competition. Teams will engage in skill challenges such as utility line clearance cutting operations and utility line clearance rigging operations.
“The Trees and Utilities Conference provides the perfect opportunity for professionals in the industry to pick up new skills and share best practices,” said Dennis Fallon, executive director of the Utility Arborist Association. “The Skills Arena will allow participants to receive training and education on utility line clearance cutting and rigging operations while encouraging teamwork.”
Winning teams with the safest and most proficient results are eligible for a prize package including gear and equipment from the Safety Alliance Partners.
Watch for more information on The Skills Arena in future UAA Monthly Updates, and on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
