Apply for Safe Arborists Techniques Grant by December 15
Our priority at UAA is safety so why not learn about the many ways to further improve industry practices? Through the Safe Arborist Techniques Fund (SATF), the TREE Fund and the ISA offer thousands of dollars in grant money supporting R&D among arborists to provide a safer work environment and curb potential hazards – whether lightning protection, decay assessment and more. The maximum SATF grant is $15,000. Find out more information and apply before December 15, 2021.
A return to in-person UAA events
We were pleased to welcome back members and guests to Trees & Utilities in Minneapolis October 26 – 28. It was the first time we gathered in person for T&U since 2019. More than 500 attendees turned out for workshops, hands-on sessions and networking. Watch for the presenters’ slide decks on the T&U website in the coming weeks. Our New York and Ohio Regional Meetings in October generated discussions about industry topics, including the hot button issue of recruiting and retaining employees.
