What’s new this year? A video debut at the Women in UVM Workshop jump starts a compelling conversation…
“There are people from all walks of life and industries and backgrounds in utilities. That feeds into the problem solving, engagement and being creative in our responses with all of these different backgrounds to leverage, so it really is this huge melting pot.” – April Schneider, an expert regulatory analyst
“There isn’t any opportunity that isn’t available to women that’s available to men. I think you have to stop and take stock and say that I’m willing to do anything and work as hard as I’m able to do and go beyond that.” – Amanda Opp, Right of Way Supervisor
UAA President Dennis Fallon says anyone is welcome and should attend this workshop. Make it among the many reasons to be in Minneapolis later this month.
Remember: reduced pricing expires Monday, October 11.
Saluting Branches
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, more than 2,500 volunteers gathered at 77 cemeteries across the U.S. to honor those who served our country. The annual Saluting Branches event was an opportunity for arborists and others to prune and clean up the vegetation and trees at the final resting places of our deceased military men and women. The donated tree and landscape care services amount to more than $2,000.000 this year.
