The UAA and ROW Steering Committee are thrilled to announce that the 14th International Symposium on Environmental Concerns in Rights-of-Way Management (ROW 14) will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, from May 11 – 14, 2026. The event promises to be another spectacular gathering for professionals dedicated to minimizing environmental impacts in ROW management.
UAA Executive Director Dennis Fallon expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming symposium, stating, “We are incredibly excited to bring ROW 14 back to Canada. Vancouver is a beautiful and fitting location for this important event, and we’re eager to showcase the unique perspectives on environmental management.”
Since the last ROW in 2022, the Steering Committee has been planning a dynamic agenda. Attendees can look forward to an engaging local field tour, insightful plenary sessions, a comprehensive educational academia panel, and cutting-edge research programs. Fallon highlighted the committee’s commitment, saying, “Our team is dedicated to creating an event that not only addresses current environmental concerns but also pushes the boundaries of knowledge and practice in ROW management.”
For those interested in contributing to the symposium, the Call for Papers will open on October 1, 2024. Fallon encourages potential presenters to start preparing their submissions, adding, “We invite experts and practitioners to share their insights on reducing environmental impacts in ROW management. Your contributions will be instrumental in advancing our field.”
The symposium will also offer continuing education credits, providing a valuable opportunity for certification holders to fulfill their Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements.
As always, ROW 14 will attract a wide array of sponsors who play a crucial role in the event’s success. For those interested in sponsorship opportunities, Fallon encourages you to explore how your support can make a difference. “We are grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, and we invite new partners to join us in making ROW 14 a landmark event.”
Since its inception in the 1970s, this series of symposiums has established itself as one of the premier conferences for environmental research in rights-of-way management.
